Regal Turns Up the Heat, Bringing “Heated Rivalry” to Theatres Nationwide This November
PR Newswire
KNOXVILLE, Tenn., Oct. 22, 2026
KNOXVILLE, Tenn., Oct. 22, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — This November, Heated Rivalry fans may have a new favorite question—not “will you come to my cottage?” but “will you come to the theatre?” Nearly one year after the fan-favorite romantic drama premiered, Regal is partnering with Sphere Abacus, a Bell Media Company, to bring all six episodes of the Crave Original series to over 650 theatres nationwide for a limited theatrical event.
From November 6-30, fans at over 275 Regal locations can join the celebration, watching the complete series in back-to-back episode pairs for $9.99 per screening. Regal is leading the nationwide theatrical release as the distributor, bringing Heated Rivalry to AMC, Cinemark, and other participating exhibitors alongside its own theatres, with in-theatre marketing support from partner PaperAirplane.
“When a series connects with audiences the way Heated Rivalry has, we look for ways to bring it to the big screen and give fans a reason to experience it together,” said Brooks LeBoeuf, Senior Vice President of U.S. Content at Regal. “Nearly a year after its premiere, we’re proud to work with our partners to turn a season fans have watched again and again into a true theatrical event. It’s a chance to celebrate the story, its creators, and its performances before Season 2 arrives in 2027.”
Created by Jacob Tierney and based on Rachel Reid’s bestselling novels, Heated Rivalry follows rival hockey players Shane Hollander (Hudson Williams) and Ilya Rozanov (Connor Storrie), bound by ambition, rivalry, and a magnetic pull neither of them fully understands. Heated Rivalry is produced by Accent Aigu Entertainment.
In May, the series topped the Canadian Screen Awards, winning 16 awards, including top prizes for Best Drama Series, Best Directing, and Best Lead Performer for actor Hudson Williams’ portrayal of Shane Hollander. The series garnered a Peabody Award, a Television Academy Honours Award, and a GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding New Television Series, among other accolades.
“Heated Rivalry is a global phenomenon creating a rush of social media and press activity wherever it lands,” said Hana Palmer, Executive Director, Global Distribution and Partnerships at Sphere Abacus. “We’re very excited to give audiences the opportunity to watch the drama unfold on big screens in North America, the UK, Australia, and New Zealand.”
During the theatrical run, moviegoers can revisit the series in order across three paired screenings: Episodes 1 & 2 (“Rookies” and “Olympians”), Episodes 3 & 4 (“Hunter” and “Rose”), and Episodes 5 & 6 (“I’ll Believe in Anything” and “The Cottage”). Regal screenings will also feature welcome content from the series’ cast and directors, while participating locations will offer limited-time themed cocktails: Summer in Montreal and Russians Don’t Blush.
Advance tickets for Heated Rivalry are available now at theatre box offices / kiosks, on the mobile app, and through REGmovies.com. Moviegoers can also join Regal Rewards+, a monthly membership offering a free rolling movie ticket and concession discounts, or Regal Unlimited, where subscribers see as many movies as they want, whenever they want.
